When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I really discovered my passion for music when I started listing to more house/dance music in high school. Once I made that transition, I began to realize how all the different elements of a song can come together so smoothly.
Once I began college, I started to listen to more techno, and that’s when I decided that I wanted to create my own. I really enjoy listening to it, as I believe music makes you feel in many different ways and help you relax or feel like you’re at a nightclub.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
as for everyone, sometimes I struggle with staying on task. I don’t think it’s a problem, rather I think it’s just human nature. I think everyone deals with it in some way or another. Sometimes it was tough to get that motivation to just start working on something new but it was essential.
Once you are done and you’re able to look back, you’re always so happy that you started. I came down to myself realizing that we only have a short time to be on this earth, we have to use the most of it and create what we know will inspire others.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
There are tons of amazing creators in this field, am I the best? No. For me, creating music is something that I do as a hobby, I feel as if you’re doing it this way next to the music better, not with the intention of creating music as my career.
I’m creating it with the intention of just having fun, creating good music, and putting something out there for the people to hear. There are many fabulous artists out there, And they have been in a car game for decades. They have tons of experience and are able to make great music people love.
How can fans find you?
Sands can find me via my Spotify artist page, Instagram, Apple Music, YouTube, and just about any platform I’m on it! this was very important to me when releasing my music because I wanted to make it accessible to everyone who wants to listen.
What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
honestly, just go for it. Look, there is a risk to everything, that’s just life. When you make music, you’re making it for others, you’re not making it with the intention of making money. Well, that may be a side effect, if your goal is just to make good music for people to enjoy, I don’t think you can ever go wrong.
Go make something unique in something that you like, your audience will always find you. Listen to others who are successful in the game, see what you like and what you don’t like, and make something your own.
