Fiberologies, the all-new direct-to-consumer startup offering towels crafted for everyday life, is live on Kickstarter and a crowdfunding success story having reached their goal in under 12 hours.
On average, individuals use towels eight times a day. That’s probably more than almost any other important tool in life, but people don’t think about whether their towels are really efficient. Different use cases deserve different towels, and Fiberologies has taken a design-oriented approach to ensure each towel is perfectly crafted around each specific task.
“With the current trend of people spending more time at home, household items are getting more wear and tear, which is driving more replacements and a demand for better household goods. Fiberologies aims to shift the focus in towel design to what we actually use towels for,” says founder and creator Joshua Herzstein.
To launch, Fiberologies is introducing a set of 4 unique towels:
• Face Washer- gentle towel to keep skin looking fresh
• Hand Dryer- smooth triple gauze weave towel that dries quickly between uses
• Chef’s Helper- kitchen towel with added strength and absorbency to clean up spills and grab hot pans
• Mess Eraser- extra-thick towel to absorb even the largest of spills
All Fiberologies towels are made of plant-based fibers and woven in a small factory in the famed Imabari region of Japan. For over 120 years, skilled technicians have been operating the looms there and mastering the techniques that go into today’s high-quality products. The water in this region is soft with few impurities and very little heavy metal content. Combined with superior raw materials, this unique composition is gentle on the yarn which brings out the natural softness of the fibers.
Fiberologies Towels are available exclusively on Kickstarter for a limited time. Backers of the project can access special pricing and pre-order their favorite towel set or the entire collection.
“Similar to the process of designing a building, I started by identifying the limitations of the current towel market. I realized towels weren’t designed with our routines in mind, and that companies weren’t taking full advantage of all the natural materials available,” adds Herzstein, who trained in architecture. “I took this information and got to work creating something better. The result is Fiberologies. Its mission is to give everyone access to towels that are properly designed for our daily tasks.”
