Odenton Awards Shop Owner Honored as “Woman of Influence”

Awards Shop in Odenton, MD

Odenton, Md. — Amanda Gianotti, owner of Allogram Inc., an awards shop in Odenton, MD, was recently recognized as a "Woman of Influence" at the I95 Business Magazine 6th Annual Women of Influence event which was held at the Elkridge Furnace Inn in Elkridge, MD, earlier this year.

According to I95 Business Magazine Publisher and Founder, Vicki Franz, “Women leaders are featured in every issue of I95 BUSINESS throughout the year. As a woman-owned business and leader, I am keenly attuned to women that are leading in companies and industries throughout the region and I love to include them in our special focus. But I especially love the April issue where we kick it up to include a big focus on women business leaders.”

As mentioned above, Gianotti was featured in the April 195 Business Magazine edition in an article entitled, “A Family Business Built on Innovation,” as a “Woman of Influence.”

Gianotti is an expert in her industry and is known for being straightforward and professional. She credits her parents for instilling in her a drive to succeed. Her mother was the founder of Allogram and her father is a Harvard MBA who encouraged Gianotti to recognize opportunities and trust her intuition. She now passes these same values on to her four daughters, the eldest of whom has joined the family business while the younger three have pursued careers in engineering.

Allogram is a family-owned business located in Maryland that specializes in creating awards and offering personalization services. The Odenton branch was purchased by the owner's mother back in 1985 while Gianotti herself was still in college. Prior to joining Allogram, she pursued a career in medical sales, successfully surpassing her monthly goals for two years before teaming up with her father on the mission to expand the family business by opening a second location in Timonium, MD, in 1991.

At the beginning of 2023, Allogram consolidated its Odenton retail location and Timonium manufacturing site into one optimized and efficient space. Additionally, Gianotti relocated her design team to remote work, allowing them to work in their own comfortable and creative environments.

Gianotti's eldest daughter Amber is now overseeing the headquarters of Allogram, but Gianotti herself is still in charge of Allogram's latest acquisition, G&W Awards, located in Virginia. The company remains committed to innovation in both Maryland and Virginia, with the goal of fostering growth and empowering the 4th generation of the family business.
