Offering clients more choice for growth potential

The LiveWell Dynamic Annuity provides clients greater investment freedom than other RILAs on the market. Coupled with this new index, clients have more choices to diversify their retirement dollars.
“We’re pleased to build upon the success of the LiveWell Dynamic Annuity by adding this new index to the lineup,” said Greg Bonzagni, Vice President and Head of Distribution at Sammons Institutional Group. “This exclusive index will help give clients another tool to help take charge of their financial futures.”
With the addition of this new index option, clients can more effectively diversify within the RILA, providing greater growth opportunities through competitive cap and participation rates.
The Nasdaq-100 Max 30™ Index (NDXMAX30™) provides exposure to the technology industry through the Nasdaq-100 Index® (via e-mini Nasdaq-100® futures contracts), which is a prominent domestic equities benchmark. A 30% volatility target allows for leverage that may magnify gains (or losses). The index can frequently exceed 100% exposure to the Nasdaq-100 Index®, meaning it can amplify the returns of the underlying asset.
The Nasdaq-100 Max 30™ Index uses Salt Financial’s truVol+, which is a risk measure based on intraday data featuring a same-day update. This allows quick reaction to sudden changes in the market, which helps maintain the volatility target and offers a solution for investors seeking stability in volatile markets.
"Nasdaq Global Indexes has been at the forefront of innovation by collaborating with clients to create demand-driven products that offer more flexibility for retirement savings through the Nasdaq-100 Index®," said Sean Wasserman, Vice President and Global Head of Advisory Services at Nasdaq. "We are excited to deepen our relationship with Sammons Financial Group and key insurance provider partners, including Salt Financial and BNP Paribas, to provide the investment community with a volatility-targeted index in the RILA space."
Ryan Cullen, Head of EQD Insurance Solutions Sales at BNP Paribas, added, “BNP Paribas is excited to collaborate with Sammons Financial Group, Nasdaq, and Salt Financial to bring the Nasdaq-100 Max 30™ Index to the RILA market. The design was informed by the bank’s experience in creating & distributing retail structured products, featuring a modified version of the truVol Risk Control Engine that has been optimized precisely for buffered derivative structures, a first of its kind for RILA investors.”
Helping clients balance growth and protection
With the LiveWell Dynamic Annuity, clients can participate in upside growth potential, partially protect assets against market downturns, and pivot when investment needs change. The LiveWell Dynamic Annuity offers clients the following benefits:
- The LiveWell Dynamic Annuity is a flexible premium registered index-linked annuity (also known as buffered, structured, hybrid, or registered annuity).
- Tax-deferred growth potential is provided through Cycle index account investment options (Cycles) and variable separate account investment options (subaccounts).
- Partial protection is provided during market downturns through floors and buffers on 1-, 3-, and 6-year Cycle terms.
- Cycles now offer 4 different index options with varying levels of protection available.
- Additional optional riders: Return of Premium Death Benefit and Waiver of Surrender Charge rider (availability varies by state and firm).
Cycle innovation
The LiveWell Dynamic Annuity is innovative through the index options available and based on how the performance of the Cycles is calculated and posted to accounts. Clients can track their performance through Cycle daily unit values that are calculated and posted online every day.
This gives clients more control and clarity on their RILA investment performance. With the LiveWell Dynamic’s Anytime Allocation feature, clients can leave Cycles early or reallocate their money within the annuity however they’d like whenever they’d like. Anytime Allocation allows clients to capture gains prior to Cycle maturity, reset protection levels, and diversify among Cycle options and subaccounts.
“The LiveWell Dynamic Annuity takes product innovation to the next level with its transparent performance, investment flexibility, and exclusive access to the Nasdaq-100 Max 30™ Index,” Bonzagni said.
