Immediately following the impact of Hurricanes Milton and Helene, Metronet’s staged crews restored service alongside local utility repairs. Metronet’s systems were repaired or replaced, and all system services have been fully restored, delivering gigabit upload and download speeds to Tallahassee, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Bunnell, Daytona, Deltona, Flagler Beach, Forest City, Maitland, Ocoee, Ormond Beach, Palm Coast, Pine Hills, Port Orange, South Daytona, and Wekiwa Springs.
Throughout Metronet’s Florida service area, crews are continuing to work to restore the last few remaining customers as the individual customer’s power is restored. Through close collaboration with local utility companies, city and town leadership, FEMA, and State Emergency Management, Metronet was equipped to ensure service was reestablished as quickly as possible.
“Our response following Hurricanes Helene and Milton was swift and fully in sync with local utilities. By cultivating close relationships with the city, local utilities, and other emergency response programs, our network was fully operational in a very timely manner, given the circumstance,” said Jon Danielsen, Metronet senior director of field operations. “We are thankful for the partnerships that supported our efforts to prioritize the safety of our team and customers. Our quick response and restoration would not have been possible without the support of our crews. We are incredibly grateful their tireless work to restore service to all of the towns and cities we serve.”
