Effective October 27, 2005, BNP Residential Properties, Inc. acquired the Hamptons at Quail Hollow Apartments, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, from an unaffiliated third party for a contract price of $17.5 million. In conjunction with this acquisition, we made an initial draw of $9.4 million on a newly established $13.0 million line of credit with Wachovia Bank, National Association, which carries a variable interest rate of 30-day LIBOR plus 1.65% and matures in November 2008. On October 27, 2005, we issued a press release announcing and describing these transactions. A copy of this press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
