Item 8.01 Other Events.

On February 13, 2007, Merge Technologies Incorporated, a Wisconsin corporation doing business as Merge Healthcare (the "Registrant"), announced that Gary D. Bowers has been promoted to President, Merge Healthcare North America, reporting directly to Kenneth D. Rardin. This role had been temporarily filled by Mr. Rardin prior to Mr. Bowers' promotion.
