TELEFONICA CHILE FILED ITS 2007 ANNUAL REPORT ON FORM 20-F WITH THE U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION

     Santiago, Chile – May 5, 2008 - Compañía de Telecomunicaciones de Chile S.A. (NYSE: CTC) (“Telefónica Chile” or the “Company”) today announced that it filed its 2007 Annual Report on Form 20-F with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on May 1, 2008.
