as of December 31, 2002, and related reserve replacement and finding cost
statistics for the one-, three- and five-year periods ended December 31, 2002;
announced the Company's 2003 capital budget and growth plan; and provided a
supplemental schedule, that is attached hereto as exhibit 99.2, of proved
reserves and costs incurred detail information as of and for the year ended
December 31, 2002.
On January 23, 2003, the Company also issued a news release that is
attached hereto as exhibit 99.3. The news release attached hereto as exhibit
99.3 announced that the Company and Woodside Energy (USA) Inc., a subsidiary of
Woodside Energy Ltd. of Australia, have agreed to a joint exploration program
for a two-year campaign over the shallow-water Texas Shelf region of the Gulf of
Mexico.
