Ocean Wind International - New US Presidency Augurs Well for Wind Power

Ocean Wind International says the incoming Biden administration will significantly boost confidence in the proliferation of renewable energy initiatives.

HONG KONG - January 22, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

Hong Kong-based floating wind power solutions innovator, Ocean Wind International Industrial Limited, says it expects the incoming administration of President Joe Biden to provide a timely boost to the outlook for renewable energy proliferation around the world.

The company, which constructs, installs and provides full support for its floating wind power generation infrastructure, believes the "green" credentials of the successor to outgoing President Donald J. Trump are well suited to support the global drive to reduce reliance on energy generated by fossil fuels like crude oil and coal.

The outgoing administration made no secret of its skepticism towards sustainable energy generation preferring instead to encourage more, not less, fossil fuel production and, in doing so, turned the United States into the world's biggest producer of crude oil.

"Although interest in wind power generation continues to gain traction in other countries around the world, there is still a sense in the global community that where America leads, others follow," explained Jeremy Fitzroy, Ocean Wind International's Chairman & CEO.

"It really was essential that the US act as a moral leader in this struggle but the Trump administration's barely-concealed skepticism for non-fossil fuel power generation and its immediate withdrawal from the Paris Agreement was quite understandably greeted with dismay by the clean energy sector. The new administration has signaled its intention to re-sign the treaty as soon as the new President takes office and that can only be good news for the battle against climate change," he concluded.
