In today’s modern homes, having a TV in the living room is not common. Some people put it in the family room while others place it in the kitchen where everyone can eat and watch TV. There are lots of other places you can place your home entertainment besides the given places. Maybe you are working with a small space that does not gracefully allow a TV in the traditional set-up. This is when knowing where to creatively place your TV can come in handy. Here are some of our top creative ways you can place the TV in your home.

Create Some Intimacy

It is common that when people are decorating their living room, they instinctually put the TV on one wall and push the sofa against the wall directly across from it. That does not always have to be the case. You may not have as much control over where you place your TV, but you have way more control about where you place your sofa. Use the back of your sofa as a wall to define a space.

Non-Conventional Seating Arrangements

Every seat does not have to face the TV. This can be complicated to do anyway when you have a fireplace in your living room. Sometimes you have to choose between making the fireplace your focal point or the TV. Instead, get creative with your seating arrangements. As an example, you could get swivel chairs as opposed to stationary chairs. That way you can arrange seating in a way that everyone can appreciate the fireplace, while also not having to break their necks trying to watch TV.

Create Zones In Bigger Spaces

For some living rooms, there is way more space than there is stuff. This is ok. Not every square inch of your living room has to be covered with furniture and knick-knacks. All this means is that you will have to do some work to create zones within the space. You do this with furniture placement, using either your mirror tv unit or sofa. You could have a living room that accommodates watching TV while having a space in the same room that accommodates reading a book. Another way you can create zones is through area rugs.

Use All The Space You Have Available

You do not want to go overboard and risk your living room looking too cluttered. At the same time, you should not waste any useable space. Typically in a living room that has a lot of unusual spaces, there is no clear place to hang your TV. You certainly do not want to put your TV in front of a window. Using unusual places in your living room that can double up as a place to house your TV will make your living space look personalized.

Mount The TV

TV mounting is an easy and simple way to incorporate your TV no matter what kind of space you are working with. You can mount the TV adobe the fireplace or you can mount it anywhere else you see fit. You will not have to worry about taking up too much floor space because the TV will be on the wall.
