Luckenbooth Theatre's Original Production Yes, Virginia. There is a Santa Clause Offers Family-Friendly Fun for Christmas

The Show Will Be Broadcast Live at 8 pm on December 15-December 20

FORT WORTH, TX, December 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fresh from the successful run of Witches, a play inspired by witches in history and pop culture, the resourceful players at The Luckenbooth Theatre in Fort Worth Design District will be staging another original work, Yes, Virginia. There is Santa Clause, to celebrate Christmas and to raise funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Written and directed by Luckenbooth's Artistic Director Megan Hildebrand, the new play is inspired by eight-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon who wrote The New York Sun in 1897 to ask if Santa Claus really existed.

The paper's touching reply has become the most reprinted editorial of all time. In part, the editors wrote, "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy."

Cast members with leading roles include Taylor Cordill (Virginia), Abby Hill (Grace), Sydni Embry (Eve), Kamille Isom (Hazel). They are joined by Carly Mason (Mary), Zoe Turcios (Avery), Emma Dewbre (Holly) and Fred Patterson as Jolly Old Saint Nick himself.

Tickets are $25 and may be purchased by visiting LuckenboothTheatre.com or by emailing Luckenbooththeatre@gmail.com. The performance will be broadcast live via YouTube to ticket holders each evening starting at 8 pm on December 15-20.

One hundred percent of the money generated by ticket sales will be used to support The Luckenbooth Theatre and to further its mission of bringing live theatre to the local community. In addition, the cast of the show is collecting stamped letters to Santa. For each letter collected, Make-a-Wish Foundation will receive a $1 donation. Be sure to pass your Santa letters on to a Luckenbooth elf.
