Criminal cases have been initiated against the founder and ex-head of the A.D.A.M project in Ukraine

By: Zexprwire

Ukraine, November 24, 2020, The founders and managers of the A.D.A.M project that was intended to print human bones and organs and was launched in Ukraine in 2019 are now under investigation in Ukraine in the case of embezzlement of state budget funds in an especially large amount.

The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) that works similar to the FBI in the USA, is investigating former Kwambio CEO Vladimir Usov, who worked as the CEO of the A.D.A.M. project from the moment of its launch until the beginning of 2020. According to Ukrainian journalists, Vladimir Usov is suspected of causing damage to the state budget of about $1 million by using a fictitious tender for the purchase of electronic textbooks. The materials of the investigation and criminal proceedings also include information about the OOO “ADAM CORP”, which is the parent structure of the A.D.A.M project in Ukraine and Kwambio.

Journalists found out that the founder of the OOO “ADAM CORP” company was Pavel Barbul. Before founding this company, he was the head of the SPETSTECHNOEXPORT state enterprise, which is a subsidiary of the state UKROBORONPROM concern responsible for the sales of weapons in Ukraine. Since 2019, he is also under investigation in Ukraine for stealing public funds in the amount of 2.225 million US dollars. Pavel Barbul was detained by law enforcement in March 2019 and spent time in prison. He’s currently released on bail. At the moment, he is still under investigation, which is still open. Pavel Barbul was the founder of the OOO “ADAM CORP” from the first day of its foundation, but he always tried to hide this fact. He’s also directly connected with the ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, INC. (A.D.A.M) which is registered in Delaware.

Ukrainian journalists objectively suspect that the initial funding of the ADAM project by Vladimir Usov and Pavel Barbul could have been made by using stolen money. Their partner Denys Gurak also worked in the UKROBORONPROM Ukrainian state company for a long time. The A.D.A.M project is currently working with BioCT and the UConn Technology Incubation Program.
