Evelyn Blount has been recognized as one of America's Most Influential Women by the International Association of Who's Who

Evelyn Blount, from Winder, Georgia, is honored by the International Association of Who's Who as one of America's Most Influential Women for her lifetime achievements, her dedication, and her expert leadership.

WINDER, GA, November 14, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ms. Blount's career path came about through natural progression. She grew up exposed to the inspiring work of missionary organizations and was strongly influenced by her mother to follow this path. Thanks to her strong religious faith, she remained committed to her spiritual work while also focusing her efforts on developing a career within the field of education. Ms. Blount attended the Woman's College of Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1964. This was followed with a master's degree in religious education, attained from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1969.

Ms. Blount's early career highlights include her work as a teacher at Blue Mountain College between 1964 and 1966. She then moved into a role in teaching at the Berkmar High School for a year before undertaking several roles which included group leader at a Baptist Center, a minister of education at the First Baptist Church, and an Acteens director for the Woman's Missionary Union, Auxiliary Georgia Baptist Convention. Further career accolades include serving as a youth department supervisor, a field services director, a national enlargement plan director and a program design specialist. Her career culminated in the role of Executive Director and Treasurer of Woman's Missionary Union Auxiliary South Carolina Baptist Convention, where she served as both until her retirement in 2008.

Among her many academic achievements, Ms. Blount is proud to have attained the prestigious title of honorary life member of the United States Air Force Ground Observers Corp and to have seen a number of her works published. These include "Code E and Teachers Guide for Code E" and "No Longer Forgotten: The Remarkable Story of the Christian Women's Job Corps", which she co-authored. In addition, Ms. Blount held memberships with Hold Out the Lifeline: Prenatal & Family Ministries, the National Association of Female Executives, and served on the board of directors at the Barrow County Cooperative Benevolence Ministries.

Ms. Blount has received notable acclaim for her contributions over the years, including being featured in the Who's Who of American Women, the Who's Who of Religion and the Who's Who of America. She is extremely proud of her achievements and is grateful for the many opportunities that have been presented to her over the years.
