Hangzhou is developing an “international talent community”, as reported

Qianyun Community in Jianggan district, Hangzhou is developing an "international talent community", local media reported on July 19.

There are currently 15,000 people living in Qianyun Community, 630 of whom are foreigners from the United States, France, Canada, Russia, and other countries.

"The formation of an international talent community is a response to the needs of skilled workers and provides them with an entrepreneurship platform and supporting facilities, making the area more attractive," said Qian Feihua, Party secretary of Qianyun Community.

Qianyun Community has a strong transportation network and two international schools. The community will also hold a foreign service day every week and a variety of social activities every month.

The community has already held a variety of activities, including the Dragon Boat Festival cultural exchange activity and the reserve box market. There will also be speeches, competitions, and other activities.

Street signs, neighborhood stores, community notices, and brochures will be translated into English. The community service hall also offers an English service window.

"Hangzhou's inclusive environment makes it an ideal place to live," said Tim Clancy from Australia. He married a woman from China Hangzhou and currently lives there.

Jianggan district intends to create a livable international environment and entrepreneurial ecosystem in order to become a more attractive destination for talents.
