Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof LED light with an encapsulated inline transformer rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This portable low-voltage unit uses a 16-inch Cree LED light head that produces 21,000 lumens of light while drawing on only 150 watts. This LED light fixture provides 9,000+ square feet of work area coverage.
The EPL-PM-150LED-X24I-100 explosion-proof LED light is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This LED light is mounted to a portable A-frame stand that is made of non-sparking aluminum and powder-coated for added durability. Power is provided to this light via the encapsulated stepdown transformer that converts AC input voltage to 24V DC.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof LED produces light in a flood pattern and is made up of a 16-inch wide by 14-inch tall rectangle LED light head. The light can be adjusted up or down 90-inches and locked into position. The LED produces 21,000 lumens of light with a color temperature of 5000K, 4000K or 3000K. The LED technology provides 60,000 hours of lamp life and this unit comes with 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord. This unit is available in either a 60-degree or 125-degree beam angle and carries a T5 temperature rating. Suitable applications include hazardous locations, industrial settings and more.
