Goldilocks economy? No. But steady job gains, low inflation to keep recession at bay

Whew. The economy apparently isn’t sinking into a bottomless abyss. The rebound in hiring in March was an encouraging sign for a U.S. economy that’s gotten off to a rocky start in 2019.
