Trinity International University Of Ambassadors Receives Proclamation For The State Of Georgia Humanitarian Day By Governor Nathan Deal

Trinity International University of Ambassadors is proud to announce today that it has received a Proclamation by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal for the State of Georgia having its own Humanitarian Day. A resolution on the same matter was also provided by the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate. The bid was sponsored by Representatives Mitchell of the 88th; Mosby of the 83rd; Stephenson of the 90th, Thomas of the 56th, and Beasley-Teague of the 65th districts. The document titled “HR 1290 2017-2018 Regular Session” detailing the resolution is available, at all times, on the Georgia General Assembly website.

Commenting on the resolution, Dr. Jacqueline Mohair, Trinity International University of Ambassadors founding representative, said that “We are pleased that our valiant and tireless efforts to institute a Humanitarian Day in the State of Georgia came into fruition. We believe that it is of utmost importance that the people of Georgia preserve a day of remembrance and celebration of the ongoing humanitarian efforts within our State. By doing so, Georgia citizens will become increasingly aware of the pressing issues concerning both our State and society as a whole, and feel keen on making their own contributions towards their alleviation and ultimate eradication.”

As laid out in the HR 1290 2017-2018 Regular Session document, Georgians have had “a history of providing humanitarian and charitable service through numerous organizations”.  As such, the Georgia Humanitarian Day will bring together “leaders and individuals (...) to highlight remembrance and celebration and to encourage people everywhere to reflect on the principles of nonviolent social change, race equality, community service, humanitarian service, and interracial cooperation” and “build stronger communities” by motivating citizens to “work together to share commitments, rally for causes” as well as to serve others.

The Humanitarian Day in the State of Georgia has been designated as November 17.
