“Gary’s market experience and understanding of the broadband market and regulatory landscape is unmatched. We’re excited to have him continue to share his knowledge with the Fiber Broadband Association,” President & CEO of the Fiber Broadband Association Lisa R. Youngers said. “It is our vision to be the voice for ultra-high-speed networks throughout the Americas, and having a seasoned, well-respected industry executive of Gary’s caliber commit to helping us achieve our goals is a tremendous asset.”

During Bolton’s tenure on the board, he has served as treasurer and chaired the policy and marketing committees. In his role as chairman of the association’s public policy committee, Bolton advocates for fiber broadband deployments to key federal, state and local legislative and regulatory agencies. ADTRAN has been a member since 2008.

“Fiber is rapidly becoming the critical lynchpin of next-generation services as the market races to deploy 10G services and beyond, prepare for 5G and Fixed Wireless rollouts, and deliver the services that business and residential customers are demanding,” Bolton said. “The Fiber Broadband Association provides a focal point and voice for the industry that has helped shaped the debate for the past decade. I look forward to being a part of the organization during this exciting market expansion.”
