Forterra Inc. (Nasdaq: FRTA) fell to a loss for the third quarter of 18 cents per share compared with earnings of 19 cents per share a year earlier but the company expects continued improvements to its earnings due to ongoing initiatives. The stock price surged $2.61 to close at $7.67.
