Mixed open as crude oil eases

The markets opened mixed with the Dow adding 4 points to 22,645 while Nasdaq lost 10 points to 6,521 as crude oil prices eased.


On the upside


The Food and Drug Administration approved Mylan's (Nasdaq: MYL) generic version of Copaxone.


Amicus Therapeutics (Nasdaq: FOLD) announced additional positive data from a Phase 1/2 study of ATB200/AT2221 in patients with Pompe disease.


Piper Jaffray expects Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) subscriptions to surpass expectations in the third quarter.

On the downside


Mylan's (Nasdaq: MYL) generic version of Teva Pharmaceutical's (NYSE: TEVA) Copaxone was approved by the Food and Drug Administration.


Shopify (NYSE: SHOP) expanded its Shopping on Instagram feature but the stock price fell.

Okta's (Nasdaq: OKTA) lockup period expires today.


In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of nearly 6 to 5 on the NYSE while advancers barely edged out decliners by a slim margin on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 eased a point to 2,533. Bitcoin tumbled $53 to $4,210.
