Investors also will be looking for signs GE can meet its target of 2 percent to 4 percent organic growth for the year. Investors will look for updates on the restaurant chain’s expansion plan and the pace of recovery in China as it looks to bounce back from a slew of food safety scandals dating back to 2012. A quick look at the market, the company’s stock traded between $30.85 and $31.28 with its 52-week range being $19.37 to $32.05. General Electric (GE) shares are currently priced at 20.77x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them relatively expensive compared to the industry’s 16.13x earnings multiple for the same period. The company pays shareholders $0.92 per share annually in dividends, yielding 2.95%. In a review of the consensus earnings estimate this quarter, 14 sell-side analysts are looking at $0.19 per share, which would be $0.01 worse than the year-ago quarter and a $0.08 sequential decrease. Investors should also note that the full-year EPS estimate of $1.50 is a $0.19 better when compared to the previous year’s annual results. The quarterly earnings estimate is based on a consensus revenue forecast of the current quarter of $27.67 Billion. If realized, that would be a 5.76% decrease over the year-ago quarter.
