Billabong High International School, Thane Receives an Award by John Abraham for Setting a New Benchmark in the History of "Habitat for Humanity"

It is an honor for our country to know that Billabong High International School donates for unprivileged people such aggressively. Thus 'Habitat for Humanity' awards the school with a token of love by superstar John Abraham.

MUMBAI, INDIA, December 21, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Students of Billabong High International School, Thane proved their humanity and devotion with utmost love and dedication towards unprivileged. By donating 1 rupee a day, they indeed expressed the worth of 1 rupee to the whole country.

Billabong high international school, Thane stood first amongst 200 schools which were involved in 'rupee for change' campaign run by 'Habitat for Humanity India Trust'. Thus to honor the students John Abraham personally visited to celebrate the ceremony of handing over the award.

The school practically raised highest fund in the academic year of 2014-2015. The pleasant surprise of achieving the first prize was no more than a moment of proud and honor.

The cause for which Billabong High is so enthusiastically involved is to build home and sanitation for the poor and underprivileged. The school is doing its best to bring awareness among the students of the school. Dr Ranjini Krishnaswamy, Principal is exceedingly dedicated towards 'one rupee campaign'. Also she states "We at Billabong High International School are proud to be associated with 'habitat for humanity'India which builds homes for those who build our homes."

In order to do betterment for the nation, our children need to understand thoroughly the sensitivity required for those who are underprivileged. Undoubtedly like Dr Ranjini stated, "Habitat for Humanity' is the best platform to serve the unprivileged and the poor."

We believe, with the mindset like that of Billabong High International School, our country, in coming few years will majorly recover and eradicate the problem of homelessness shortly. Also if actors and young blood like John Abraham be involved it will leave more impact. Therefore it is a pleasure and delight to witness people standing for a Nobel cause. We assume the effort will bring perpetual results.

Billabong High International School,Thane (BHIS,Thane) was started in 2006 by the Goenkas under the aegis of the Citizens Welfare Association (CWA). The aim was to usher into the fast-growing city of Thane world class education. Towards this end, the CWA tied up with Kangaroo Kids Education Limited(KKEL) for pre-primary,primary and secondary education. For the ninth and tenth standards the syllabus is as prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Examinations(CISCE).

The school is a franchisee school of KKEL, which provides the study material. The pre-school section is known as Kangaroo Kids while the main school is called Billabong High International School.
