EasyPark Offers Mobility Impaired Parking Permit

PRLog - May 16, 2013 - ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Anchorage workers or those that need to park downtown, that suffer from impaired physical mobility; now have another option to park closer to their job or destination in downtown Anchorage.

Anchorage Community Development Authority's parking division, EasyPark, has created a "Mobility Impaired Permit", which helps provide convenient and safe access to any on street metered parking, for parkers who possess a valid State of Alaska handicap placard and their physician has approved their mobility impairment. With this "Mobility Impaired Permit", the parker will be able to park without any time restrictions at the on street parking meter.

As a reminder, vehicles bearing disabled parking tags may park in designated handicap spaces and park for 1.5 times the posted time in metered time-restricted spaces. The City of Anchorage also honors handicap parking permits from other states.

For those that are interested in purchasing the "Mobility Impaired Permit", please call EasyPark at 276-Park (7275) and ask for Customer Service. Customer Service is available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
