Gene Birdwell’s new book release, the MST Healing Manual, is now available on Amazon.com. The book, available in digital and paperback versions, has received “Best Seller” designations in multiple categories during the initial book release period, including Amazon’s “Hot New Release” designation.
This manual is not just another “me too” synopsis of methodologies that have failed to render results from individuals, Veterans, and First Responders who are negatively impacted by MST (Military Sexual Trauma) or PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome).
The author, Gene Birdwell, CEO of the Birdwell Foundation, is certainly not a new voice concerning the plight of individuals with PTSD. He founded “Impact Houston” which later became the PTSD Foundation of America and Camp Hope. In 2018, he established the Birdwell Foundation and Camp Valor. A Veteran himself, he has acquired decades of experience with Veterans, First Responders, and families. All these individuals have ignited his desire to tackle MST.
Birdwell says, “The MST Healing Manual expands our reach to the individual challenged with MST and, of course, the better-known PTSD. We had to find a way to address the needs of these individuals who may or may not show up in our programs with the wounds of MST. While individuals may be isolated, alone, and desperate for help, they are sometimes reluctant to reach out”.
He continues, “The MST Healing Manual provides the MST victim and the PTSD survivor unique insights and ways of looking at themselves and their circumstances. They can become empowered in their healing journey and rise from ‘victim’ to ‘victor.’ They can also realize that they are not alone in this process. This opportunity alone has a demonstrable positive impact against the odds of self-harm and, worse yet, suicide.”
The Birdwell Foundation’s face-to-face programs for recovery are accessible on a national basis. The organization has supported approximately 55,000 individuals, Veterans, and families in one year.
The MST Healing Manual is resource rich with exceptional contributions from experienced counseling, medical, and ministry professionals. In addition, the manual chronicles MST and PTSD victims’ authentic stories from individuals whose anonymous testimonies are both riveting and informative.
The often-invisible impact of either PTSD or MST is addressed through many healing references. It includes scriptures from the most widely read book on earth, the Holy Bible, which is alleged to have sold 3.9 billion copies in the last 50 years. Genuine help is available for you, and as Gene Birdwell repeatedly says, “No one heals alone.” He means it!
