Traumatised by the death of his best friend, a young Ethiopian boy can't find a way to process his feelings of guilt and grief. And in his subterranean village, dead souls are known to linger…

HERNE HILL, U.K. - July 21, 2022 - PRLog -- This film is a merging of a complex and rich history of cultures. The Ethiopian Orthodox Christian Church and older pagan beliefs form the backdrop as we follow our protagonist's journey through his grief and how he navigates the different paths set before him.

A beauteous yet haunting film about a child dealing with a terrible loss. The website offers information on the passionate and talented crew, the directors own tragic and personal story which lead and inspired him to write The People Below and a blog, inviting the reader a personal glimpse in to what it takes to produce a film.

We have launched a Kickstarter Campaign to raise the rest of the funds needed to take the project from Pre Production into the Production and set to be filmed in Ethiopia this coming October.
