- It was early Tuesday morning when the Fort Lauderdale Police Department Marine Unit located what appeared as fuel in the water near the 500 block of East Las Olas Boulevard. The ongoing investigation has called for the Marine Unit and the United States Coast Guard, though they were unable to determine the source of the spill.
The Department of Environmental Protection responded to further assess the waterway.
