Edmonton Laser Skin Treatment Course 2023, After Hours Career Training Updated

The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (587-487-1249) in Alberta has made several recent updates to its Medspa training programs, to make the courses easier to access for students working another job, single mothers, and recent high school graduates.

The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy has updated its Basic, Advanced, and Master level courses to make them more accessible to students, by splitting the courses into two distinct modules and allowing students to work on the knowledge portion of their course online.

More information about after-hours career training, and a full list of courses available from the Dermysk Academy can be found at https://dermysk.com/pages/academy

While the improved training programs still require students to attend in-person lessons, primarily for the practical portion of their training, these lessons have been condensed into shorter, intensive courses. Students can complete the majority of their training online, before attending a one-week hands-on training course with a Dermysk specialist at the Academy.

The updated courses offer students several options to complete their training, such as the Master level course, which covers everything students learn in both the Basic and Advanced class, as well as exclusive Master level training. While this course takes longer than either course individually, it allows students to complete all of their training at once and provides them with a Master of Medical Aesthetics certificate upon graduation.

Students may also choose to split their training between the Basic and Advanced courses, which allows them to begin a career as a medical aesthetician immediately after the Basic training. With just the Basic course, students will be fully certified and experienced with several standard treatments, including dermaplaning, radio frequency rejuvenation, micro-needling, and laser hair or tattoo removal.

Enrolling in the Advanced course requires that students have already graduated from the Basic program, and allows them to get certified in several advanced services, including Cool Sculpting, PRP (platelet-rich plasma) techniques, and pigmentation treatments. Individuals who have not graduated from a Dermysk Academy training program, but who have at least 5 years of experience in the medical aesthetics industry, may also apply for this course.

To ensure that all graduates are fully capable of operating as medical aestheticians, the courses also include an overview of the industry and regulatory concerns, training in several effective business strategies, and guides for dealing with common problems. Students will also have access to the Dermysk Academy post-graduate support, which provides resources to continue to develop their skills and advance their careers.

One recent graduate explained, “This is a fine school conducted by amazing people. The actual educational theory and practicum are well-made and executed. Great hands-on experience. I do wish there was a bit more. Lots of theory, very informative. Glad I’m coming back for the Advanced course.”
