SONOMA COUNTY, CA - March 11, 2026 - Sullivan Group Real Estate proudly announces the 10-year anniversary of bringing the Homeownership for Heroes program to Sonoma County. Since introducing the initiative locally in 2016, the family owned real estate team has given back more than $475,000 in closing cost credits, averaging approximately $6,000 per household, to eligible community heroes buying or selling a home.
The Homeownership for Heroes program serves five primary hero groups and their support staff: law enforcement, firefighters, healthcare professionals, active-duty military and veterans, and teachers. While rooted in Sonoma County, the program also supports participants throughout Marin, Napa, Lake, Mendocino, and Solano counties.
Created as a meaningful way to thank those who serve the community daily, the program provides a financial credit applied directly toward a hero’s closing costs. This tangible support helps make each move more affordable while honoring years of dedication and sacrifice.
As a mother-daughter, family-owned team with heroes in their own family, Sullivan Group Real Estate introduced the program to Sonoma County out of personal understanding of the commitment these professions demand.
