48^th Annual Event to Be Hosted by Joanna Coles on May 7^th in New York City, Benefitting No Kid Hungry

The National Mother’s Day Committee will honor four accomplished leaders across the entertainment, retail, apparel and technology industries at the 48th Annual Outstanding Mother Awards on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 583 Park Avenue in New York City. The annual luncheon recognizes women who exemplify excellence both professionally and personally, balancing influential careers with deep commitments to family and community. Proceeds from this year’s luncheon will benefit No Kid Hungry, a national campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending hunger and poverty in the United States and abroad.

Hosted by Joanna Coles, Chief Content Officer of The Daily Beast, this year’s Outstanding Mother Awards will recognize the following women for their inspiring dedication to their families, careers and communities:

• Ciara, multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning global superstar, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and cultural icon
• Denise Magid, Chief Merchant, Bloomingdale’s
• Jennifer Foyle, President, Executive Creative Director – American Eagle & Aerie
• Jill Hazelbaker, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Communications & Public Policy, Uber

“The Outstanding Mother Awards are an opportunity to recognize women who lead with both purpose and heart,” said Nance Hastings, Outstanding Mother Award Committee Chairperson. “This year’s honorees have achieved extraordinary professional success while remaining deeply devoted to their families and communities. The awards event will also feature a live auction led by renowned celebrity auctioneer Billy Harris.

This year, the Committee will debut a new honor: the “Rock Star Mom,” chosen by No Kid Hungry in partnership with LIFT-New York. LIFT is a national nonprofit organization that partners with parents to end generational poverty by providing one-on-one coaching and direct cash support to parents, helping them set and achieve goals to strengthen family stability and put their families on the path toward economic mobility. This year's inaugural Rock Star Mom honoree is Giselli Veloz, Senior Program Manager at LIFT-NY. A former LIFT mom and New York State license eligible mental health counselor, Giselli is a passionate advocate for social justice who has dedicated her career to addressing systemic inequalities and empowering low-income communities throughout New York City.

As part of its continued support of meaningful philanthropies dealing with issues affecting mothers, fathers, and children, the National Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council, Inc. has donated more than $39 million to deserving family-related charities nationwide.

About the National Mother’s Day Committee
