From olive oil to ice cream novelties, food supply chain companies are part of the queue utilizing ReposiTrak to meet the food traceability requirements of retail, wholesale and restaurant customers and FSMA 204
ReposiTrak (NYSE: TRAK), the world’s largest food traceability and regulatory compliance network, leveraging its established inventory management and out-of-stock reduction SaaS platform, is proud to announce the addition of 39 food distributors and importers to the queue joining the ReposiTrak Traceability Network®. These companies will efficiently exchange intricate, FDA-required Key Data Elements (KDEs) for each Critical Tracking Event (CTE) in their supply chains, with the goal of meeting the growing traceability demands of their retail customers.
Topping the list is a company that designs and distributes novelty candies, drinks and licensed confectionery items. Their products appear on the shelves of many retail outlets across the United States, including specialty retailers, grocery and drug stores. A Massachusetts-based specialty food distributor also joins the queue, supplying artisan breads, pastries, breakfast items, desserts, pastry ingredients and hors d’oeuvres to high‑end restaurants, hotels and caterers. Next, an importer, manufacturer, packer and distributor of premium oils is preparing to share food traceability data for its imported and domestically produced olive, avocado and grape seed oils, as well as the custom blended and packaged products that it produces for grocery, food service and specialty retailers. Finally, a well-known producer and distributor of refrigerated dinner sides and breakfast items rounds out the list getting ready to use the ReposiTrak Traceability Network to share data with retailers and wholesalers for its mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, sausage and egg products.
“For distributors and importers, food traceability is not only about sharing accurate food traceability data with their retail, wholesale and restaurant customers; it’s also about taking in accurate food traceability data from their own suppliers,” said ReposiTrak Chairman and CEO Randy Fields. “The ReposiTrak Traceability Network enables distributors and importers to do both, easily and with confidence, knowing that what they’re sharing is as complete and accurate as possible.”
The ReposiTrak Traceability Network requires no additional hardware. Every traceability data file is checked using a 500+ point error detection process and ReposiTrak’s U.S.-based team works with food manufacturers and suppliers to make corrections, so that the data is as complete and accurate as possible before it reaches their retail, wholesale or foodservice customers.
