Carenet Health Celebrates Official Ribbon Cutting for New Trinidad & Tobago Global Delivery Center

Carenet Health, a leading tech-enabled healthcare services company, hosted a formal ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the official opening of its state-of-the-art global delivery center in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The ceremony was attended by distinguished government officials, including Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Randall Karim, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mrs. Franka Costello, Chairman, Global Trinidad and Tobago, and Joann David, Director, OJT Division, Ministry of Labour.

While Carenet’s new facility – the first SEZ-designated company in Trinidad & Tobago – has been operational since Jan. 2025, this event marked the official proceeding, underscoring the site's significance in the company’s expansion strategy to enable its healthcare clients’ success. Following this milestone event, a rooftop cocktail reception brought attendees together to celebrate.

“Carenet’s expansion into Trinidad & Tobago reflects our commitment to supporting the growing and evolving demands of our 500+ healthcare partners,” stated John Erwin, CEO of Carenet Health. “This facility enhances our ability to meet clients' needs with geo-diverse capabilities and innovative engagement solutions, a strategic step in line with our mission to measurably improve business and health outcomes.”

The center in Trinidad elevates Carenet’s "right-shoring" offer, which blends cost efficiency with access to top-tier talent pools in aligned time zones to ensure clients’ ability to confidently serve their patients and members. Initially creating 250 skilled healthcare advisor roles, the new facility serves as a critical hub for delivering high-quality engagement services.

Christopher Rogers, COO of Carenet Health, was present at the ribbon-cutting and emphasized the collaborative effort with the local community. “Partnering with the people and government of Trinidad & Tobago has been incredibly rewarding, and we are committed to continued investment in this region.”

The event was enriched by remarks from Gopee-Scoon, who spoke on the positive economic and workforce development impacts of the new center, highlighting its potential to bolster employment and enhance the nation’s position in the global marketplace.

Carenet’s Trinidad & Tobago global delivery center underscores the organization’s expanding focus on delivering value and making it easier for the best healthcare companies in America to deliver better care at a lower cost.
