Funding from Trident Ridge and Pelion Ventures will accelerate engineering and early construction of the world’s largest AI-optimized energy and data campus
Creekstone Energy, a leader in next-generation energy infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI) computing, today announced it has closed its Series B funding to advance development of the AI Gigasite in Delta, Utah — a multi-gigawatt, hybrid-generation data center campus built to power the next era of AI and high-performance computing (HPC).
The round was led by Trident Ridge, with participation from Pelion Ventures, Utah’s largest venture capital firm. Proceeds from the financing will accelerate permitting, engineering, and early construction of the 10-gigawatt Delta Gigasite, a project that strengthens Utah’s role in U.S. energy and AI leadership.
“This financing marks a pivotal milestone in our mission to build the world’s most efficient, AI-optimized energy and data infrastructure,” said Buford Ray Conley, CEO of Creekstone Energy. “With Trident Ridge returning as our lead investor and Pelion Ventures joining our vision, Creekstone is positioned to deliver scalable, low-carbon power and compute capacity at unprecedented scale.”
The Creekstone AI Gigasite integrates natural gas, solar, and renewable generation within a fiber-dense corridor, enabling multi-gigawatt expansion to meet hyperscale demand. The project positions Utah as a national hub for AI infrastructure, sustainable power, and industrial innovation.
“Creekstone Energy is combining energy innovation with data center expertise to solve one of AI’s biggest bottlenecks — reliable, scalable power,” said Sander Gossard, Partner at Trident Ridge. “We’re backing a team redefining U.S. AI infrastructure to strengthen both economic resilience and national security.”
“Pelion has long invested in Utah’s innovation ecosystem,” said Chris Cooper, Partner at Pelion Ventures. “The Creekstone Gigasite represents a generational opportunity to position Utah at the forefront of AI-driven infrastructure and sustainable technology leadership.”
Creekstone will continue to expand partnerships with leading technology, energy, and construction firms as it advances toward delivering its first powered data centers in 2026.
