Americhem’s 2025 Sustainability Report Highlights Measurable Progress and Global Momentum

Americhem, a globally recognized designer and manufacturer of custom color masterbatch, functional additives, engineered compounds, and performance technologies, has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, underscoring a year of measurable progress across people, products, and process. The company rose to the 93rd percentile in the latest EcoVadis ratings, placing Americhem among the top 7% of companies assessed in their sector worldwide for sustainability performance.

As regulatory and customer demands accelerate across the materials industry, Americhem’s report reflects how it’s meeting those expectations with action and transparency. The company’s 2030 Sustainability Goals continue to guide improvements across all business units and regions.

“Our customers are raising the bar on sustainability, and so are we,” said John Richard, CEO of Americhem. “We’re investing in cleaner processes, designing more sustainable products, and strengthening alignment across the value chain to deliver long-term impact in a rapidly evolving industry.”

Progress Across Three Strategic Pillars

People: Employee engagement remains a key driver of Americhem’s sustainability efforts. In 2024, 94% of global employees participated in the company’s engagement survey, contributing to a three-point favorability increase since 2022. Leadership training, safety programs, and DE&I initiatives resulted in gains across all regions. These gains reflect Americhem’s commitment to building an inclusive and empowered workplace globally.

Process: Americhem improved operational efficiency through site-level water reduction efforts and continued its shift toward renewable energy. The company now sources 100% renewable electricity for its world headquarters in Ohio and reduced greenhouse gas emissions at several global sites through certified renewable energy sourcing, including participation in a Green-e® certified program.

Product: Sustainability-driven product innovation accelerated with the launch of EcoLube™ MD, a PFAS-free internally lubricated compound developed for the healthcare market. Other highlights include ColdPound™, an energy-efficient material process from Americhem Europe, and solution dyeing technologies that reduce water and energy use in the textile sector—all designed to help customers meet rising sustainability expectations across applications. Additional R&D continues to target recyclability, bio-based materials, and upstream collaboration.

“We’re embedding sustainability more deeply into every part of the business,” said Lauren Lutikoff, Global Sustainability Leader. “That means clearer goals, better data, and stronger collaboration across our global teams. That integration is helping us deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions for our customers.”

From regional collaboration to sustainable product design, the report reflects how Americhem is operationalizing sustainability to drive measurable outcomes for its customers, its people, and the planet.
