KI Announces 12 Finalists in Fourth Annual K-12 Classroom Furniture Giveaway
Through November 16, anyone can visit ki.com/giveaway to watch short videos from each finalist and vote for their favorite classroom or teacher. Each vote contributes to bringing these innovative classroom designs to life, creating spaces where students feel encouraged, inspired, and ready to thrive.
“We were truly inspired by the thoughtfulness and quality of this year’s entries,” said Bryan Ballegeer, KI’s vice president of education markets. “Teachers deeply understand what their students need to succeed, and we are proud to help bring those visions to life by creating classrooms that inspire learning and support both students and educators.”
The program was created to help educators address challenges such as student disengagement, outdated learning environments, and teacher burnout. By providing them with the power to redesign their classrooms, they can help cultivate creativity, collaboration, and meaningful learning experiences for every student.
From September 29 through October 17, more than 550 K-12 teachers submitted digital layouts of their dream classrooms using KI’s Classroom Planner Tool. Eligible spaces ranged from traditional classrooms to activity-based learning spaces, esports labs, libraries, and the like. KI’s education team selected semi-finalists, and a panel of architecture and design professionals narrowed the field to 12 finalists.
Finalists are organized into four categories: eastern region, central region, western region, and libraries. Each finalist’s floorplans, 3D renderings, and a short video explaining their design, teaching approach, and student needs are featured on KI’s website.
