Academy Securities Announces Key Credit Trading and Sales Hires

Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer, certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), today announced the addition of Ken Casatuta, Greg Heher, and Gary Kucinich as Directors of Credit Sales & Trading.

Ken Casatuta is an industry veteran with 37 years of institutional fixed income, credit trading, & risk management experience in both corporate bonds and credit default contracts. Mr. Casatuta started his career trading at Salomon Brothers/Citigroup and subsequently held trading desk positions as Director at Credit Suisse, Managing Director at BTIG, and Executive Director at Mizuho Securities.

Greg Heher has 41 years of financial services experience with expertise in many aspects of fixed income credit including investment grade, high yield, preferreds, CDO’s and other structured credit products. He started his career at Bache & Co/Prudential and has held positions as a Managing Director at several firms including Kidder Peabody, Bear Stearns, KBW, Sandler O’Neill, Amherst Pierpont and most recently at StoneX.

Gary Kucinich is a military veteran who started his financial career at Citigroup on the investment grade credit sales desk. Most recently, Mr. Kucinich was at Credit Agricole CIB, also on the IG credit sales desk, as well as the high yield desk. Prior to transitioning from active duty to a career in financial services, Gary was a Sergeant in the U.S Marine Corps.

Mr. Casatuta has traded all credit sectors and joins Academy with an emphasis on Industrials. Mr. Heher will be trading financials. Mr. Kucinich joins Academy as a salesperson covering a range of institutional clients across the credit spectrum.
