In celebration of International Women's Day (IWD), PureSquare announced its commitment to #EmbraceEquity, the 2023 IWD theme, by offering cybersecurity products to women journalists around the world free of cost.
In a press release issued today, the company announced it was offering a suite of its products – PureVPN, PureKeep, PurePrivacy and PureEncrypt – to female journalists in an effort to empower them to continue doing their important work without any fears.

As part of the initiative, women journalists are encouraged to apply for their suite of free tools via PureSquare’s online portal. Journalists will be required to fill out a short form on PureSquare’s official website. The form requires contact details and a 100-word write-up about why they need these tools. The PureSquare team will review all applications and select the recipients based on their need and eligibility.
Why cybersecurity tools are essential for reporters
According to the UN, 73% of women journalists who responded had experienced online violence in the course of their work. The company believes that every woman journalist should have the tools to protect themselves and their work online, and in a world where online harassment and cyberbullying are rampant, supporting their rights to free speech and free press without a threat is essential. The products on offer are listed below:
