LSU and Fullstack Academy Launch Data Analytics Bootcamp To Fill Demand for Skilled Professionals

Registration now open for full- or part-time program to equip students with skills needed to help fill growing number of data jobs across the U.S.

LSU Online & Continuing Education and national tech bootcamp provider Fullstack Academy today announced the launch of a Data Analytics Bootcamp program.

The curriculum, designed and delivered by industry-experienced tech practitioners, will provide hands-on training to equip professionals with the skills needed to pursue data analytics jobs in just 10 to 26 weeks.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for data analytics professionals is projected to surge in the next decade – a staggering 23% growth rate, significantly outpacing the average 6% growth rate for all occupations.

“Using data to make informed, strategic decisions and optimize operations has become the standard in businesses across industries, and the field is expanding at a rapid clip,” said Nelis Parts, CEO of Fullstack Academy. “In response, this new program with LSU Online & Continuing Education will help to fill the growing need for skilled data professionals.”

Graduates of the LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp can qualify for entry-level positions across the country, where the U.S. median salary for a Data Analyst is $67,000, per Glassdoor. Top employers for data analytics roles in the U.S. include Bloomberg L.P., Deloitte, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase & Co, and Accenture, according to Glassdoor.

The LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp powered by Fullstack Academy will train students in SQL, Python, and data visualization skills to earn necessary industry certifications including the Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Data Analytics Specialty Certification. Students can choose to enroll in the program full-time (10 weeks) or part-time (26 weeks). Additionally, completing the Data Analytics Bootcamp offers participants an opportunity to earn college credits that can be applied towards the online Bachelor of Science in General Business or Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics with LSU.

“We have been expanding our portfolio of curricular offerings in partnership with Fullstack Academy because they are in such high demand, by students and employers alike," said Kappie Mumphrey, Vice President of LSU Online & Continuing Education. “Our latest addition, the LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp, is designed to prepare students for the industry certifications that employers prioritize when filling these roles. Students will learn both the fundamental skills and complex concepts that data analytics professionals in the field use every day to help companies solve problems and perform better. We are proud to be training this next generation of data professionals.”

Applications are now open for the live online LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp.

The LSU Data Analytics Bootcamp does not require university enrollment. Scholarships are available to current LSU students and alumni, as well as active-duty service members and veterans. Interested learners can see these details and more on the LSU Tech Bootcamps website.
