Originally, Mr. Ritter established his career in the food and beverage industry. Through hard work and determination, he was elevated into management roles but eventually started to reconsider his career path. While working for The Ritz-Carlton, he felt he was not being paid enough for his hard work and that his efforts were being wasted. Later, while driving past the Ferrari of Naples dealership, he decided to drop off his résumé and told them he was willing to start at the bottom and work his way up. He was offered a job, and he seized the opportunity to shift his career to sales.
Building a Career in the Car Industry
Mr. Ritter entered the luxury car industry in 2022 and is now a sales executive. He is passionate about Ferrari and how the company relates to modern hybrid vehicles. He points out that Ferrari is still about racing at its core, and Formula One has been a hybrid platform for more than a decade.
"What that means, just like all other hybrids, is that it is a combination of an internal combustion engine and electric motors. Because that's been implemented since about 2012 on the F1 grid, Ferrari takes all the latest and greatest technology from its racing programs, F1 and endurance racing, and implements that into their road-going vehicles," Mr. Ritter points out.
Although some clients may have reservations about hybrids, Ferrari has been producing them for several years. Ferrari recently unveiled the F80, a limited-edition hybrid vehicle featuring a twin-turbo V-6 engine combined with electric motors that produce an estimated 1,184 horsepower and a top speed of 217 mph. Beyond their high-end performance, Mr. Ritter says that hybrid cars are a greener option for clients who place a strong emphasis on environmental well-being.
"It's definitely friendlier to the planet. There are fewer emissions, and for ladies and gentlemen who live in a cityscape and can drive 25-30 miles on a single charge, it's cost-efficient. Now, as it relates to luxury performance vehicles, the combination of internal combustion engines and electric motors really does allow for maximum power output for these vehicles.
