In many ways, The Phluid Project stands as the cheer squad for the world's active fighters, following a call-and-response business model that shouts for justice when we need it most. The company creates space for the most at-risk members of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as those who identify as BIPOC, handing the megaphone over to people who have historically been silenced or told to keep quiet. The Phluid Project is loud and proud with their selection of inclusive, gender non-conforming apparel and accessories and seek to inspire everyone to be their most authentic selves. The company's website and social media platforms serve as a starting point for those interested in giving back, supporting others, and listening and learning to what these communities need most. Their partnerships include such organizations as the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, Brooklyn Ghost Project, BTFA Collective, and Thrive House TX, among others. These affiliations nurture an ever growing network of support for both allies and members of the aforementioned communities, building a world that is more responsible and receptive to real, authentic change.

The Phluid Project partners primarily with brands whose products celebrate the non-binary, in order to infuse the world with more empathy, equity, and compassion, and to give all people a chance to explore and express their truest selves without fear, judgment, or the limits of traditional gender identification. They highlight the historical significance of the essence of the Two Spirit community, a form of identity and soul representation within Indigenous and Native American cultures. The power of Two Spirit embodies the human experience and embraces every part of our existence, inviting us to be completely whole with our deepest identifiers.

With all of its sparkle, The Phluid Project is defined by its dedicated team of artists and creatives who strive to paint the world in a brighter shade of justice than before. Among these visionaries is Alec Sutherland, a multi-disciplinary queer artist based in New York. Sutherland comes to The Phluid Project with years of leadership in management consulting and some of the most compelling marketing spaces, including work with LEK Consulting, the Boston Consulting Group, and We Are Fluide, a gender-expansive cosmetics brand, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, where he served as a creative consultant representing the queer community for their groundbreaking "Gender Bending Fashion" exhibition in 2019. Sutherland is a recent graduate of Northeastern University where he studied Business Administration and Marketing while nurturing multiple passion projects in photography, poetry, and music. His artistry is a kaleidoscope of influences and represents the patchwork quilt that has come to embody the queer community. Much like The Phluid Project, Sutherland uses his platform to advance the visions of many different industries, creating a dynamic force for tomorrow that looks as good as it feels.
