INDIAN VISA FOR AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS

A tourist visa is required to enter India. However, in order to boost tourism, the Indian government has simplified the application process for an Indian visa from Australia. Australians, like most other nationalities, must get a visa before traveling to India. Australians may now apply for an Indian visa from the comfort of their own homes, thanks to the advent of eVisa. Australian citizens have been able to apply for an Indian visa electronically since 2014. The Government of India adopted Electronic Visit Authorization in 2014, allowing citizens of over 169 countries to visit India on an e-Visa. To encourage tourism, the Indian government has streamlined the application process for an Australian Indian Visa. The Indian Government provides an Indian Tourist Visa to Australians that is valid for up to 90 days. The tourist visa can be obtained online through the eVisa system. The e-Business Visa is valid for 365 days and allows for multiple entries, with each entry not exceeding 180 days. The e-Medical Visa is valid for 60 days and allows for three entries.
