Five-Year Indian Visa & Urgent Emergency Indian Visa

Five-Year Indian Visa

Foreign citizens can apply for a five year India Visa if they want to go to India for pleasure or sightseeing, short-term yoga programs, or unscheduled visits to friends and family. The Indian Immigration Authority has modified the rules for e-Tourist Visas since September 2019.

To assist the Indian government in reaching its objective of tripling the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting India in five years, Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel unveiled a host of changes to the Indian online visa system today. The minister stressed the need for cooperation if we want to change how foreign visitors perceive India.

e-Tourist Visa Type

Currently, the following e-Tourist Visa categories exist:

  • A 30-day double-entry visa is available starting on the day of arrival in India and is known as an "e-Tourist" visa.
  • One-year e-Tourist Visa: This multiple-entry visa is valid for 365 days starting when it was issued electronically.
  • E-Tourist Visa for 5 Years: This multiple-entry visa is valid for five years starting on the day it is issued.

It is not possible to convert or extend any of the visas listed above. You cannot upgrade or convert to a five-year visa if you applied for and paid for a one-year tourist visa.

Conditions for Tourist Visas in India

Despite how convenient it is, obtaining an Indian tourist visa has several prerequisites that must be satisfied. It is only accessible to visitors who want to remain in the country for 180 days at a time, meaning you must leave the country on the Tourist e-Visa within 180 days after entering. The India Tourist Visa also does not authorize business travel to India; only non-commercial travel is allowed. You are eligible to apply for an Indian Tourist Visa if you meet these conditions and the basic e-Visa eligibility requirements.

URGENT EMERGENCY INDIAN VISA

Those who need to go to India urgently are granted an Urgent Indian Visa. The visa is also known as an urgent emergency India visa. A visitor visa is available for emergency or urgent reasons, such as a death in the family or a court appearance for legal reasons, if you currently live outside of India and need to travel there. In contrast, the loved one or family member is ill.

An emergency visa to India or urgent Indian visa application requires a significantly shorter preparation time than other visas like the Indian tourist visa, Indian business visa, or Indian medical visa.

Suppose you must visit India for purposes such as traveling, seeing a friend or attending to several relationships. In that case, you cannot apply for an Indian crisis visa since these situations are not considered emergencies.

As a result, you need to apply for several types of visas. One aspect that makes the critical/urgent Indian e-visa application unique is that it frequently gets done on the weekends for those who need to travel to India for any reason.

How to obtain an urgent electronic visa for India

The Indian Urgent Visa, often known as the urgent emergency India visa, is also granted based only on looks. The urgent Indian visa will be stored in the computer system; it is not physically stamped on the traveler's passport. An immigration official can examine the urgent Indian visa's validity at the airport terminal you used to fly into India.

You may go to the individual movement's official location by following the visible billboards. Another thing to remember is that you should choose the air terminal closest to your desired destination, India. Your visa will be prepared more quickly the less congested the airport is.
