Item 7.01                      Regulation FD Disclosure.

On August 27, 2013, Cigna Corporation (“Company”) officials expect to participate in meetings and discussions with investors and analysts.  During these meetings, Company officials expect to reaffirm consolidated adjusted income from operations estimates for full year 2013, which remain in the range of $1.8 billion to $1.9 billion.  The Company also expects to communicate that it now estimates global medical customer growth for full year 2013 to be approximately 1%.  Because the Company’s full year 2013 earnings outlook is based on consolidated adjusted income from operations (defined below), this outlook does not include the special item after-tax charges of $24 million related to the pharmacy benefits arrangement, $507 million related to the effective exit of the run-off reinsurance guaranteed minimum death benefits and guaranteed minimum income benefits (GMIB) businesses and $51 million related to a regulatory matter within the Company’s disability business.  The Company discussed its full year 2013 outlook in its second quarter 2013 earnings release and conference call transcript, each of which are available in the Investor Relations section of the Company's website located at www.cigna.com/aboutcigna/investors/ under Quarterly Reports and SEC Filings.
 
Consolidated adjusted income from operations is shareholders’ net income excluding net realized investment results, special items and results of the GMIB business.  Information is not available for management to identify or reasonably estimate future net realized investment gains (losses), special items or fair value changes in GMIB assets and liabilities; therefore, it is not possible to provide a forward-looking reconciliation of adjusted income from operations to shareholders’ net income.  Special items for 2013 will include the after-tax charges of $24 million, $507 million and $51 million, as described above, and may include amounts associated with litigation, guaranty fund assessments, settlement of tax audits and cost reduction initiatives.
