On July 22, 2009, Quidel Corporation issued a press release announcing the financial results
for its second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2009 and will hold an earnings conference call
at 2:00 p.m., Pacific Time, on July 22, 2009 to discuss such results. A copy of the press release
is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K.
