Item 8.01 Other Events

On June 5, 2009, First Financial Northwest, Inc. announced that it expects to record an increase in its provision for loan losses during the quarter ending June 30, 2009, resulting from additional analysis of the construction/land development and commercial real estate loan portfolio.  The full text of the press release announcing the increased provision is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
