Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement
On September 7, 2004 KEMET Corporation issued a press release announcing
that it has entered into an extension of its long-term tantalum supply
agreement with Cabot Corporation (NYSE:CBT), extending it through the
end of calendar 2009. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit
99 to this report.
