Item 8.01.

Retirement of Executive Officer; Appointment of Executive Officer

On March 18, 2013, Lockheed Martin Corporation (the “Corporation”) issued a press release announcing senior leadership changes. On March 18, 2013, the Corporation’s Board of Directors approved the appointment of Orlando D. Carvalho as Executive Vice President of the Aeronautics business area and the election of Lorraine Martin as vice president and general manager of the F-35 Lightning II program, each effective immediately. The appointments reflect the retirement of Larry Lawson effective April 5, 2013.

A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K. Exhibit 99.1 shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference in any filing under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.
