On June 23, 2010, Ingersoll-Rand plc issued a press release relating to the announcement of the European Commission’s fine for a previously disclosed investigation of alleged anti-competitive practices against entities representing the former American Standard Companies Inc. (now known as Trane Inc.) and certain of its former European subsidiaries.
