Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
On August 2, 2005 Intuitive Surgical, Inc (the “Company”) announced the appointment of Floyd D. Loop, M.D. to the Company’s Board of Directors (the “Board”). Dr. Loop was appointed to the Board on July 29, 2005 and will serve on the Board’s Governance and Nominating Committee. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
